We are currently recruiting a qualified Assistant Accountant to work with in a the Finance Team. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Accountant and will be responsible for ensuring data integrity within the financial system.
Assistant Accountant
Canberra & ACT, ACT - $60,000

Your duties will include:
Prepare monthly reconciliations of corporate general ledger accounts.
Ensure supporting work papers enable efficient reviews by senior finance staff and auditors
Assist in the preparation of the companys statutory financial statements
Assist in the preparation and lodgement of financial information
Ensure adherence to the companys documented financial policies and procedures
Assist the Financial Accountant in providing support to the companys corporate functional managers
Assist with preparation of GST returns and ensure that they are prepared in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
To be suitable for this position you will be tertiary qualified and have either started or interested in starting your CPA/CA. You will also have had a least 1-2 years experience in a commercial environment.
This position will provide the opportunity to develop your accounting technical skills and the opportunity to work within an organization that promotes progression.
