Key Objective of Position:
-Carry out a variety of civil engineering tasks, as requested by Engineering supervisors, associated with the general construction and maintenance of roads, drains, footpaths and Engineering Assets.
-Operate and maintain all associated plant in accordance to Council Policy and procedures.
-Comply with relevant Occupational Safety and Health legislation and complete all work in a safe and efficient manner, having regard to own safety, the public and that of other workers.

Key responsibilities of this position are:
Coporate;
-Participate actively in work group discussion, meetings and safety and health workshops.
-Deal directly and promplty and with customers.
-Work effectively as a member of a team.
-Ensure allocated tasks are completed according to standars.
Operational;
-Able to work under limited supervision.
-Maintain daily timesheets and other records as required.
-Responsible for providing a high standard of service with customers, contractors, other staff and members of the public, in accordance with relevant policies.
-Responsible for materials, tools, equipment, vehichles and plan t in use by self and others within team.
-Undertake required training to maintain service skills.
-Assist in other areas, as directed by supervisor.
Skills and Experience Required:
-C & HR Class Motor Vehicle Licence
-Current National Police Clearance
-Blue Card (Safety Awareness Training Certificate)
-Experience in civil engineering work including relevant plant operation.
