Our client, a large Federal Government Agency, currently requires a Java / J2EE Technical Lead/ Architect for a high profile project, in Canberra.
In this role the Technical Lead will be engaged in developing, deploying investigating, designing or maintaining IT applications to support this government department’s business processes. You will perform complex tasks and mentor junior staff and ensure knowledge transfer to all interested parties. The key technologies you will be using include Java, J2EE, BEA Weblogic, Unix and Weblogic.
To be successful in this role you will have strong commercial experience designing, developing and maintaining complex applications in a Unix - based J2EE/Relational Database environment. You will also have experience with:
- BEA Weblogic application server
- ORACLE RDBMS/SQL
- Objective EDMS
- JSP/Struts
- Hibernate
- UML
The successful applicant will also possess a high level of OO Analysis and Design skills backed by experience leading a development team. Candidates with experience implementing a quality framework and methodologies in the J2EE space will be held in high regard.
