SYPAQ is experiencing considerable growth and now has an exciting opportunity in Canberra, for a Java/JEE Developer. To be successful in the position you must have experience in the following:
Be well versed in object oriented design and development, including a well developed understanding of design patterns, UML and iterative/agile development methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to review and build software components using Java/JEE, JSF and custom software components. Experience in any of the following technologies would be highly regarded: Unix, Linux, Eclipse, JBoss SEAM, Java Server Faces (JSF), Rich Faces and PostgreSQL.
Experience with complex software requirements and be able to apply their knowledge of software development within an enterprise environment using industry and Government standards and best practice.
Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance methods including: unit testing, regression testing, peer code reviews and defensive programming.
Operate flexibly within a small multi-disciplinary team using excellent communications skills combined with strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
