This newly created position involves working for one of the country’s most recognised utilities company working within their dynamic infrastructure team. Working on one of the largest utilities projects you will be responsible for technical design, implementation and support of all Cisco based data and voice projects. As the senior network engineer will provide technical guidance and support to the rest of the network engineering team.
This new position comes with a diverse range of responsibilities and challenges, such as:
-Providing technical input regarding the company network design, propose ideas and solution for network service improvement;
-Network management and systems maintenance will play a key role where you will ensure the integrity as well as direct the regular audits of the network components to ensure that all network devices are being constantly managed and monitored;
-Overall network support to resolve issues where required and provide technical input and analysis and problem management
-Provide technical expertise in the area of voice, data and network performance and upgrades
To be considered for this new role you will need the following skills and experience:
·Minimum of 5 years + experience working as a Senior Cisco Network Engineer or Architect
·Extensive experience in the design, implementation and support of Cisco based projects including enterprise environments across voice and data
·CCIE, CCNA certification (highly desirable)
·Experience in working within a consulting organisation/environment and understanding a service delivery/project management model
·Impeccable communication and presentation skills
·Self starter and ability to work in a highly pressured environment
·Negotiation and vendor management skills
