Our client, a manufacturer of various metal products has an unusual, but feasible requirement. They have asked us to see if we can come by an individual who is desirous of an apprenticeship as a boilermaker, but there is a catch. Where they are located unfortunately does not easily lend itself to transport, therefore, the person would need to have their own vehicle and license or have somebody prepared to get them to and from work, at least until you get to know somebody who maybe you work with who could offer the same. Please be aware, this role will start on a casual basis (full time hours, 5 days per week) and after 13 weeks, if that individual can display that they are enthusiastic, punctual, reliable, get along well with others and have an ability to learn, you will be made permanent and the ball will start rolling. Think of it as an evaluation period. Your duties will include, welding, cutting, grinding, fabricating, marking and setting out, to name a few, of course all of these will be whilst training if you have no previous experience. Don’t delay, avoid the rush and start your career today. You will need steel capped boots and a current resume with checkable reference (even if only part time or casual work).
To apply, please send your application to jobs@smspersonnel.com or fax (03)9762-9870.
