The UNIX/Linux Application Integration team is responsible for four services:
System Design - The process of defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions that meet specified business development requirements.
Application Integration - The process of building integrated solutions based on the system design and the standard product portfolio, includes identifying dependencies and pre-requisites for the solution and validating non-functional attributes of the system design. AI is also responsible for the Deployment Documentation, formal knowledge sharing, and turnover meetings with the appropriate support and service management staff to understand the solution
Infrastructure Integration The process of bringing together interconnected infrastructure technology elements in the form of a cohesive framework. This framework supports end to end business solutions.
3rd Level Support - Incident troubleshooting, analysis and resolution beyond 1st, 2nd level and GWM Operational Stability (SWAT) support tiers.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Candidate must have 5+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux application integration in large complex environments.
- Must have experience with integrating Windows technologies with Unix/Linux platforms preferably with good knowledge of performance tuning strategies of Microsoft solutions
- Must have strong experience with TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing technologies.
- Must have strong experience with line of business application integration in the services industry.
- Must have experience integrating public internet facing applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot application integration issues in a mixed Unix/Linux environment.
- Must have experience supporting large scale relational databases (Sybase, Oracle, DB2).
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting and a working familiarity with Unix/Linux system administration preferably in Suse and/or RedHat.
- Good working knowledge of Solaris operating system.
- Good understanding and experience integrating applications in a large scale production environment.
- Good understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions and best practices.
- Good understanding of unix management tools such as opsware, bigifx and performance monitoring tools such as team quest.
- Good understanding of Rational Unified Process, MSF, or ITIL.
- Must be able to provide technical support, solutions and guidance to all individuals
- Good troubleshooting & analytical skills.
- Previous experience with financial services industry preferred.
- Must have good written and communication skills.
