We are the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission (SAFECOM). Every year, thousands of emergency services workers and volunteers attend incidents throughout the State - putting out fires, rescuing people, conducting searches, freeing people from trapped cars, helping contain chemical spills, dealing with storm damage and much more.
Occupational Health And Safety Officer
* $53,115 - $55,569 p.a. ASO4 (adjusted according to actual hours worked)
* Plus 9% Superannuation
* Part-Time (0.5 FTE)
It is our job to ensure our volunteers and employees are provided with the resources and support they need to carry out this vital work.
The South Australian emergency services organisations we work with are
* Country Fire Service (CFS)
* Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) and
* State Emergency Service (SES)
The ability to develop OHS&W plans, policies, procedures and systems to meet the requirements of the Performance Standards for Self Insurers is essential.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate sound written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills in interacting with a diverse range of people from differing backgrounds.
