We are looking for a Web Developer/Software Engineer. Current web pages are php but we are willing to start over if need be with another language.
Development description:
- Web-based data collection and dissemination system.
- Database design.
- Web page design.
- System design.
- Receives data from thousands of clients on 15 minute intervals.
- Data can be as often as every 10 seconds.
- Populate database with data with some pre-processing.
- Data is made available to hundreds of users through unique log-ins via web pages.
- Google Earth data plotting.
- Remote administration capability.
- Account maintenance via the database.

Successful applicant will be expected to:
- Work with small team of perhaps 3-4 technical staff.
- Understand importance of system design for performance.
- Be able to manage time wisely.
- Be familiar with R&D type activities versus programming to an existing specification.
- Choose tools suitable for application.
- Understand impacts of database design on system performance.
- Come up with and present innovative solutions.
