GIS Technician
GIS Engineering Draughtsperson - Auckland
The Opportunity :
This is a role that will interest an experienced person with qualifications in civil and/or geological drafting to
utilise skills in AutoCad and ArcGIS. The role involves project work over a range of tasks from preparation
of site plans using aerial photos, maps, shape files and line drawings, geological cross sections and civil
engineering drawings. The work is varied and covers a wide range of drafting tools (eg. AutoCAD Map and
Civil 3D) and techniques.

Pattle Delamore Partners Ltd in an environmental engineering and science consultancy providing
professional services to clients throughout New Zealand. We have a staff of 65 based in offices in
Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Technical Skills
-Some or all of training and experience in:
-AutoCad Map and Civil 3D;
-ARC View GIS
-Access database;
-Microsoft Word 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint;
-Email, scanner, colour and black and white printer.
-Personal Quali ties
-Good interpersonal skills;
-Able to work in small to medium sized office environment;
-Ability to work on several small projects at a time;
-Ability to work to deadlines;
-Ability to enforce drafting standards;
-Self starter;
-Professional approach to work.
-Experience
-3 years
-Projects in the following fields:
-Landfills and contaminated sites;
-Water supply schemes, including groundwater;
-Waste water treatment plants;
-Stormwater management schemes;
-Geotechnical engineering.
NZCD or NZCE from well-recognised university.
