Wintel Manager - Windows Server Support Team

As a crucial member of the Technical Services team you will play an integral part to ensure a professional service is delivered to the wider business.
Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services you will be responsible for leading the Wintel team focused on the complex management of their enterprise environment, for a multi site environment.
The position requires you to be the technical owner and leading operations specialist in the Wintel administration support group. You will lead and manage a team of technical specialists who deliver day-to-day, technical support of Windows based production and development systems, assist with project deliverables, and deliver high quality service to a demanding client base.
As the technical owner you will be responsible for the definition of technical standards, policies and procedures for the Microsoft based technologies including hardware, O/S and core applications.
As the line manager of a technical team you will manage resource and work allocation, production handover and transition, a continuous service improvement program, team performance and individual performance assessments.
The role not only requires technical understanding and team leadership abilities but also calls for excellent written and verbal communication skills. The right candidate will have the ability present at board level, communicate concepts to non-technical managers/clients and have good client focus.
