You will have the opportunity to work with a leading engineering services firm, in a booming industry with involvement in major local and international projects and a genuinely supportive team. This senior role will undertake activities for the Australian businesses and its regional operations.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and with two direct reports, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing annual statutory financial reports;
- Monthly management financial reports (inc. parent entity reporting);
- Responsible for review and posting of journals;
- Performing detailed analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement;
- Responsible for GL reconciliations;
- Maintain fixed assets register (accounting and tax);
- Assist with year end audits/ SOX involvement and other legislative compliance; and
- Other duties including financial or economic analysis as directed by the Group Financial Controller or their delegate.
- With CPA/CA qualification (or near completion) and solid experience ideally in the industry or -MNC environment, you will have exposure to a large ERP system (Oracle advantageous). It is essential you have the ability to engage and influence other staff and managers in the wider team structure, as well as the ability to use innovative strategies to implement and improve processes.
