A US Forbes Top 100 company is seeking an experienced self-starting technical writer to join their product development team located in the Brisbane CBD. The team is responsible for developing an operational support product that is sold around the world. The next release of the product will control autonomous vehicles.
You will work closely with one other technical writer and a team of Business Analysts and you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist with the planning of documentation tasks & releases
- Review & amend existing documentation with subject matter experts
- Contribute to the refinement of documentation processes & procedures
- Provide input into the training material & assist with reviews of the training material produced by process partners
Ideally you will have a strong technical aptitude as the domain is highly technical. You will be experienced in writing and editing user documents and manuals for a technical audience. Documentation is written in HTML, Framemaker and Microsoft Word so you should have advance skills in all. It would be a strongly advantageous if you have experience in AuthorIT as the client is intending to move across to this tool soon.
The role is initially a contract role for an initial period 6 months with the option of extending or going permanent.
