Perkins Shipping is seeking an experienced and dedicated Group Financial Controller to join their busy Finance management team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the successful applicant will be a strong team player responsible for providing assistance to the CFO with the development and implementation of finance policies and projects and maintaining and strengthening relationships with Department Managers and ensuring the integrity of financial information.
Duties include:
- The development and preparation of financial and accounting information for management, board and statutory authority’s;
- Interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of cost, budgets, policies of operations, trends and increased profit possibilities;
- Direct the accounting functions of the company and submits reports reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results to management;
- Administer the internal audit of accounting and statistical data of the company; and
- Direct the establishment of accounting principles, practices, policies and procedures.
The successful applicant must also possess:
- CA/CPA qualification and degree in accounting;
- Previous experience as a Group Financial Controller or Finance Manager;
- Strong leadership qualities;
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills; and
- Strong communication skills.
