One of Australia’s largest onshore drilling companies is currently in the process of drilling up to 14 new wells up to a depth of 2750 metres throughout Tasmania. They are looking for a Well Site Geologist to run the day-to-day operation of their main rig in central Tasmania.
Some of your duties as a well-site geologist will include:
- recommending test points
- recommending core points
- evaluating offset data
- advising and supervising drilling engineers and other operations personnel
- supervising mudlogging
- keeping detailed records
Successful applicants will have a relevant tertiary degree and at least 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry including well control experience.
This is a contractual role, and rates are commensurate upon experience. Exceptional candidates can expect to earn up to $1600/day.
