Based close to Melbourne’s CBD, this consultancy has been in successful operation for over 20 years. While operating within a number of engineering disciplines, they are particularly well regarded for their successful completion of a range of infrastructure projects based both locally and throughout the world.
As a core unit within their infrastructure group, their bridge team is going from strength to strength. Due to a steady and secured inflow of projects, this consultancy is currently in need of an additional Senior Bridge Engineer to join their team.
Working within an established team, you will be responsible for:
- Proposal, concept and detailed bridge design
- Design of superstructure, substructure and foundations
- Preparation of tender documents
- Development of construction specifications
- Completing site inspections
- Coordinating with civil, environmental and geotechnical engineers
As the ideal candidate, you will have
- A recognised Bachelor of Engineers
- Circa 5+ years experience working as a bridge engineer
- Experience in the design of PT concrete, steel, RC and masonry
- Site experience
- A familiarity with local building codes and standards
- Experience using SAP2000, STAAD and/or RAPT
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to manage workloads effectively and to time frames
