This leading organisation its field is seeking an experienced System Engineer. The person will be a senior participant in an operational team providing technical support and other related technologies in a corporate networking environment
This fairly diverse role will be responsible for:
- Administer, maintain, and develop hardware and software for local and wide area networks. In particular- servers, data communications equipment and cabling systems
- Administer, maintain and develop hardware and software for voice communication. In particular: PABX, voicemail, call routing
- Monitor performance of the networks an generate relevant documentation
- Liaise with preferred and established vendors for the purpose of technical support
- Provide instruction and training to other IT personnel
You will possess the following skills:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Competence in support of server computers operating on the following platforms: Microsoft, Windows/Intel, IBM iSeries
- Previous experience with support of data communications equipment operating on the following platforms: CISCO, 3Com, TCP/IP, Ethernet
- Demonstrate competence in support of voice communication equipment
- Microsoft certification (MCP,MCSE,etc)
- CISCO certified
