This Melbourne based, Australian owned Software Company has a requirement for an enthusiastic and talented Test Analyst to join their team. The Company is already highly successful, continues to
grow rapidly and is offering up to a $85K package for the right person. Our client provides a ¡§software-as-a-service¡¨ enterprise, bringing software solutions to large organizations in the transport,
telecommunications, and utilities industries. As the Test Analyst you will be giving the opportunity to;
- Apply their testing expertise to a range of internal and customer enterprise J2EE applications.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Industry Best practice in the area of Quality Assurance
- Mentor and guide other less experienced testers in automated testing techniques
Some of the duties & responsibilities you will have are;
- Design and develop test automation scripts, evaluate test coverage and performance benchmarking
- Understand the business case behind development requests
- Understand and follow Agile testing standards/methodologies and/or software testing principles
- Write, review, edit and execute test cases and scripts against all requirements
- Write clear and concise bug reports.
- Develop QA/Test Bug and performance metrics, as well as cost and trend analysis of project
- Assist the QA Team Lead to ensure teams adhere to policies and procedures regarding software release, change management, certification and deployment.
- Provide written documentation including Test Plan, Test Scripts and Execution Plans
To be considered for this role ideally you will possess;
- 3Years commercial experience in systems testing
- 6mths current commercial automation experience using Mercury¡¦s Quick Test
- Practical experience in developing and executing functional and/or performance tests
- Commercial coding skills in VB and VBScript
- Hands on experience in developing database query using SQL
- Development and execution or test plans/test cases for Web Applications
- Tertiary qualification in IT or related field
Also if you have experience in the following will be highly regarded;
- Understanding of XP/Agile, Test Driven Design methodology is an advantage
- Knowledge in J2EE development
- Technical skills in Java
If you have nodded to the above and as a person you also possess;
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Mentoring/ knowledge transfer to less experienced team members
- Ability to work closely with team members.
- Highly organized and detail-orientated.
- Honest, with strong integrity, commitment and initiative.
