A world-leading environmental and engineering consulting firm with more than 50,000 personnel in 34 countries is looking for an environmental scientist to join their Perth office. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team which includes scientists, engineers, economists, planners and project managers.
As an Environmental Scientist with experience in the oil and gas industry, you will be involved with the environmental assessment and management of a range of projects.
Some of your tasks may include:
- environmental reporting and project management
- environmental impact assessment
- rehabilitation and closure planning
- development of environmental management and monitoring plans
- environmental management systems
- environmental auditing
You will work to ensure the minimisation of any environmental impact caused by the activities of the company in the extraction and processing of oil and gas. You will therefore have thorough knowledge of the environmental policies and legislation.
Successful applicants will have a relevant tertiary qualification and good verbal and written communication skills. You will also have experience in the oil and gas industry and a good general understanding of the principles and practices of environmental assessment and management.
Salary will be commensurate upon experience, but will be in the range of $100 000 to $130 000. Salaries outside this range will be considered for applicants with exceptional experience.
