An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the team to launch the new 354 bed Sydney Harbour YHA. Currently under construction in The Rocks, Sydney Harbour YHA is scheduled to open by November 2009 offering premium budget accommodation for backpackers, families and groups. Built upon the archaeological remnants of early Sydney, its facilities will include 106 ensuite bedrooms, spectacular harbour views and The Big Dig Archaeology Education Centre.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the highest possible standard of housekeeping and working with Hostel Management and other Departments.
YHA is looking for applicants with the following qualities:
• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Knowledge of computerised front office systems;
• Be willing to work shifts and weekends;
• Be willing to work at other Sydney YHAs from time to time;
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• An exceptional eye for detail;
• Enthusiasm, energy and initiative; and
• Commitment to customer service.
This position will commence in September.
