Based at our modern facility in Morningside, we are seeking a self motivated individual to control the administration of a major customer account.

Duties will include pricing, invoicing, data collation and reporting as well as troubleshooting on a day-to day basis to ensure we meet our customer’s needs. In addition, team tasks will include answering calls and taking customer orders.

The position hours require early starts commencing at 6 am, Monday to Friday.

You will be someone with excellent attention to detail, good time management and data entry skills. As you will be reporting to strict deadlines, a sound knowledge of Word and Excel is also required.

Your down to earth approach and good communication skills will ensure you quickly fit in and contribute.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer who will be responsible for our Change Management and Escalations duties.

The Change Management functions of this role including controlling the overall functionality of the Change Management process, chairing the Change Advisory Board which includes producing the agenda and taking minutes of the meeting. Aside from high attention to detail and excellent organization skills, the ability to liaise with various staff and other stakeholders throughout the process is key to ensure the change is being implemented and followed.

An additional key function of this role is Escalations, which includes ensuring that we are monitoring and escalating any incidents that may result in a breach of our service level agreements. This will also involve following up with the relevant parties regarding the escalation and documenting and reporting on all Escalations performed.

The successful candidate must have articulate and methodical work practices and enjoy following end to end processes. In addition, pleasant and professional customer services skills will be essential to ensure these processes run smoothly.

Administration Officer

The Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) is an exciting and unique national organisation established in 2002 to achieve a more coordinated response to emerging and entrenched problems affecting the development and well-being of significant numbers of children and young people in Australia.

The primary responsibility of the Administration Officer will be to work under the direction of the Network Coordinator, and in liaison with project staff.

Based at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Parkville, the Administration Officer will need to liaise with staff in the Perth and Canberra offices as required, to provide administrative and project support services in relation to:
- The coordination of a grants scheme
- Preparation of web pages and publication of reports and papers resulting from grants
- Data custodian of the Network’s website
- Project planning, implementation and evaluation of projects/programs
- Report, paper and grant submission writing
- Database maintenance and administration of memberships
- Organisation of meetings, teleconferences and video conferences
- Administrative support for Network Advisory Committee including minute taking, identification of agenda items and preparation of meeting papers for the committee
- Booking of locations and travel for committee members
- Communications with the ARACY offices in Perth and Canberra.

The position is available on a part-time basis at 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) for a fixed term from June to December 2009, subject to the availability of funds.
