Senior developer.(minimum 5 years experience) with very strong and versatile ETL & SQL experience. The work is varied and involves writing and maintaining large numbers of ETL processes and doing related database development work. This position will be responsible for the design, development, optimisation and maintenance of the ETL, Meta Data, and Data Mart functions.
- Create, update and maintain technical documentation
-Work with end users to understand and document requirements
- Design, develop, test, and implement DataStage mappings
- Database development including stored procedures and advanced SQL techniques
- Physical database modeling, focusing on proper object and index structures
- Multiple ETL processes (DTS, SQL, Cognos Data Manager)
- Multiple conforming data marts, within the Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Meta Data Repository
- Advising Business Analytics team on future trends and technologies
- Extracting, Transforming and Loading data based on given business rules into the structured data model utilising ETL tools
- Collaborate with DBA personnel to resolve production issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting ETL processes with DataStage
- Strong experience on Business Objects (desired)
- Data warehouse architecture, Data Modeling and ETL Development.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and ETL tools (DataStage preferred).
- Must have Data Mart experience in a large enterprise environment
- Data modeling experience desired
- Must be a self starter and have excellent problem solving skills
