Job Description:
- Work as part of the Business Intelligence Team to consult with project teams on data warehousing best practices, including data architecture approaches, high-level and detailed design, ETL best practices.
- May include delivering specific pieces of a project as well (e.g., accountability for high-level design, technical leadership role, participation in construction of particularly complex ETL etc.)
- Candidate would also likely consult with project teams on reporting tool selection, reporting approach/design, best practices around reporting & decision support solutions.
- Help define BI best practices, based on industry standards/trends and on a variety of Business Intelligence factors and business requirements.
- Particular consulting focus on Informatica, Business Objects / Crystal Reports, Actuate & SAS
Job Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field, or a significant amount of directly-related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position.
- 5+ years experience in IS, with a focus on Business Intelligence project design/development.
- Experience with Inormatica Powercenter is required. Experience with one or more of these tools is highly desirable: Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Actuate, or SAS.
- Familiarity with IT architecture and IT trends and directions regarding data warehousing, data movement and decision support (ETL, EII)
- Knowledge of operational and analytical technologies and their fit for varying business requirements.
- Experience with performance tuning SQL, databases and Informatica mappings to meet stated SLA highly desirable.
- Familiarity with embedded reporting and associated technologies. Mature leadership, negotiation and interpersonal management skills.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and gain acceptance at all levels.

Duties will include:
- Developing business focused technical solutions using BI/CPM products for customers
- Determining customer requirements, project scope, and assisting in creation of estimates of efforts * Developing and implementing applications for customers based on identified requirements
- Providing installation, configuration, and trouble shooting services
- Providing development, testing, and implementation services
- Supporting user training, documentation, and rollout
- Leading teams throughout client engagements
- Partnering with team to create and improve methodologies, provide proposal creation support, and assist in pre-sales efforts
