Instrument Technician
Our client is seeking the services of Qualified Instrument Technicians to work in the Taranaki Region. Previous Power Generation or Petro Chemical experience is essential to succeed in these positions.
The main responsibilites for these positions are new installation work and calibration. Rates will be based on experience.

The role can be broadly summarized as:
- Completion of scheduled field maintenance, with minimum impact on the flow of gas.
- Defects reported and rectified in a timely manner.
- Rapid response to equipment failures.
- Provide instrumentation and electrical expertise at Compressor and Meter Stations on general maintenance including all rotating equipment
- Working in compressor stations and meter stations on general maintenance items including all electrical, instrumentation and control systems required to operate valves, regulators, filters, meters, heaters, power generation. Assist with routine mechanical maintenance servicing as well as other routine maintenance tasks as and when required
- Address issues associated with instrumentation and electrical items at compressor and meter stations
- Undertake routine maintenance tasks on compressor and meter stations including control system trouble shooting and power generation activities
- Provide guidance and advice on capital replacement in relation to instrumentation, electrical and compression and control systems
- Accurate and timely assistance of nominated reports; eg AVT reports, other compliance reports
- Report all incidents (Safety, environmental or operational).
- Participate in the housekeeping of all facilities to ensure they are maintained to an agreed standard.
- Site stores are stocked with appropriate spare parts.
- Public relations are maintained with interested parties along the pipelines.
- Obligations under the relevant Pipeline License are met.
- Assisting in emergency situations as they arise
- Manage contractors and other personnel as required to complete work in accordance with the maintenance plan
