Operations Excellence Manager
An exciting and critical role has been newly created for an Operations Excellence Manager within our rapidly growing Upstream Oil and gas Group.

Brisbane based, you will lead the overall implementation of Operations systems, monitoring of operations matters and providing operations leadership for the group. You will be responsible for making recommendations and providing advice on Operations matters, regulatory compliance and Operations training; monitors the Division’s Operations performance and Operations system implementation and provides upstream management with performance reports, legislative updates and other specialist Operations advice.

Reporting to the Upstream Operations & Engineering Manager, you will also have direct responsibility Operations Specialist Support staff within the upstream departments.

To be successful in this role you will have:
-Extensive experience in a variety of Oil & Gas industry engineering, project and operational roles
-Proven management experience and demonstrated capability to influence, lead and negotiate change

Maintenance officer

This role is for a leading player within the Oil & Gas sector. Due to expansion in operations, this client urgently requires the services of a Maintenance professional with solid Maintenance Planning experience

You will be looked upon to execute the following tasks :
-Track and manage all planned and corrective maintenance activities
-Liaise with field personnel to ensure maintenance work is executed as per schedule
-Prepare reports and present to management on progress of maintenance initiatives
-Drive, manage and influence maintenance strategies across the company

You will have substantial experience in mine design & long-term mine planning and a proven ability to Supervise production staff to ensure production targets are achieved

The position will require previous experience in an open-pit environment and you must be prepared to assume a hands-on role. Your ability to cover the duties will also be a key to your success. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Screening of deals presented by prospective client companies
-Determination of expected range of reserves and future production profiles on proposed client projects
-Development of economic forecasts
-Pre-deal identification of risk of any type (reservoir, mechanical, business, political)
-Pre-deal verification of client operational procedures and cost estimates
-Assistance in development of deal structure and terms such that Macquarie’s projected risks and rewards are in favorable balance
-Preparation of project proposals for review by internal Credit Department
-Post-close monitoring of operations, production and economic performance of client properties

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-Minimum 5 years market experience as a Petroleum Engineer, involved in site assessment, forecasting, risk identification and management.
-Tertiary qualifications in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
-Sound technical experience gained from the international oil and gas industry.
-An appreciation of significant commercial and technical aspects of projects

These positions will be based at our three sites (2 Underground and one Open Pit), and will be required to ensure the adequate provision of survey for that site. They will form an integral part of the mining team and will be responsible for:
-Mark out of all works for construction
-Survey pick up of builts
-Provision of detailed survey plans
-Manage the survey database.
-Contribute to production management, reconciliation and reporting through timely provision of survey information.
-Internal Reporting

Project Geologist

In the role of Project Geologist you will report directly to the Exploration Manager. You will be required to plan, implement, supervise and collect data from regional exploration drilling programmes. You will undertake the majority of the field activities for the company on a roster/campaign basis and be responsible for ensuring that data is collected and reported in an accurate and efficient manner.

To perform well in this role you must be a confident self starter who has an understanding of mud drilling and diamond drilling techniques. You will have the highest regard for OHS&E. You must have an outstanding work ethic and will lead by example.

This position may be offered as contract or permanent position. Salary will be in line with your skills and experience.

You will be responsible for:
- Planning, implementing and reporting of drilling activities
- Supervision of drilling crews
- Communication with stakeholders including pastoralists
- Collection and interpretation of geological and geophysical data
- Internal and external reporting requirements for various projects
- Compliance with statutory acts including Petroleum, Mining and Health, Safety & Environment

The person we are seeking for this role will have a BSc in Geology, preferably with Honours, and approximately 5 years experience in the field.
